Abstract
Hypophysectomy appears to be a useful method of palliation in the management of patients suffering from far advanced carcinoma of prostate.
In high percentage of such patients destruction of pituitary gland is attended subjectively by marked improvement in bone pain.
We carried on stereotaxic transsphenoidal hypophysectomy in two cases of far advanced prostatic cancer resulting in marked improvement in bone pain. We report our experiences with review of literatures herein.
